Styling Plus Size Sweater Dresses: Thrifted Fall Outfits Collab

Summer definitely seems like a distant memory with the chill of fall rolling in full fledged. It’s time to break out all of my favorite fall trends and also try some new ones. However, I don’t necessarily want to break the bank with all the fall fashions I’m exploring. So back to thrift store I’ll be from time to time, and so will my fellow blogger boos. Ashley, Prissy, and I are collaborating to share our thrifted fall outfits. My absolute favorite thrift store to romp through in Tallahassee is definitely Goodwill on Appalachee Parkway. I’ve already lucked on on finding so many trends that are hot right now right in this store at super affordable prices. I’ve found snake print pieces, all sorts of plaid things, a couple of designer bags, and sweater dresses.

This plus size sweater dress was too good to pass up! The print is unlike anything I’ve seen in my go to thrift stores and department stores . I just love the length and how this one hugs my curves! The print also seems to help create a curvy shape as well. The colors aren’t your traditional neutrals or autumn colors, but it seems like the fashion brands aren’t sticking to those colors either.

3 Ways to Switch Up Plus Size Sweater Dresses

Tuck It.

Half tuck your favorite sweater dress into your favorite pair of jeans to create a two piece outfit. I like to do this to create  super casual yet chic looks. Sweater dresses with fun details like puffy sleeves, stripes, or prints like the one I’m wearing take casual outfits up another level.

Dress It Down with Sneakers

One of my favorite ways to dress down dresses is with a pair of classic sneaks. Not to mention it’s way easier on my feet for long days.

Sweater Dress and Skirt Combo

I literally just shared a look on trying sweater and skirt combos for the fall and winter season. Sweater dresses can easily be worn under your favorite skirts for the season to create the same effect.

I really believe that as it gets colder, I’ll fall (pun intended) right into wearing sweater dresses most of the time. They’re just perfect for the weather, those days when you don’t want to do too much, and look great at the same time. You feel me?
