Let’s (meaning me) be all the way honest here, I was salty about not being able to find a leopard coat when I wrote my post on Ways to Wear Leopard Without a Leopard Coat. I was struggling to find a leopard coat that I really was in love with. I ordered some that were really not working and returned them. Some were looked so overwhelming on my 5’3″ frame, some came with defects, and some weren’t even legit leopard print. It was all a mess, until I found this leopard coat in Target from the Who What Wear collection. It’s the perfect length, volume of faux fur, and -listen it’s perfection. With that being said I wanted to share with you 3 different ways to style a leopard coat.
Easy Ways to Style a Leopard Coat
White Top and Denim
I think a white graphic tee or even a plain white tee with denim is a classic look that goes with any coat. However, just because it’s a classic doesn’t mean you have to follow it to a tee (see what I did there). I switched out a plain white tee for a femme white top (FWT – can we make this happen?) with my distressed denim jeans. White tops with fun details whether it’s ruffles, eyelets, lace, or something out of the victorian era just add interests to an otherwise basic styling options. This look would look great with any colorful shoe so I styled it with my white ankle boots.
All Black Look
Wearing all black with a leopard coat is an option you definitely can’t do wrong. I’ve been wearing the heck out of sweater dresses lately and this cold shoulder (literally one shoulder) black sweater dress from ASOS (sold out similar looks below) goes perfectly with my leopard coat. This look could easily be sexified with some cute heels, but I went for some clean white sneakers instead. I still think it’s sexy even with the sneakers. This option is great for anyone that really loves neutrals looks that still have fashionable interests (in other words not boring).
A Splash of Red
The go to way of incorporating a splash of red is with a red bag or some type of red shoe, but why stop at there. A red outfits (dresses, jumpsuits, pants, etc.) will pop severely (in a good way) against your leopard coat.
The great thing about leopard prints in general is it’s considered a neutral. So the styling possibilities are truly endless. I hope my three twists on classic ways to style a leopard coat gave you some ideas.
