Before we get into the life lessons learned from Rihanna’s Pope-tacular outfit at the 2018 Met Gala, let’s just have a moment of silence and pray as we meditate on her look.
3 Life Lessons from Pope Rihanna at Met Gala 2018
Don’t rest on just being pretty!
She gave the people teasers before the event. Reminders of just who the f#@% is about to own the Met Gala…AGAIN! She arrived in a blasted Pope mobile. She worked her angles on the runway for standout photos you will never forget. Afterall this is not prom! This is not some socialite soiree at your local mall! This is thee METGALA! Even after the event was over your girl delivered with the most epic 30 seconds of the year with a lookbook style clip on Instagram.
The expected is to look cute, stand their in basic poses (hand on hip), and keep it moving. The unexpected is a package of edge snatching antics that forever burns her image into the minds of millions. So always try to do more than what is expected when trying to make lasting impressions and it truly will make your light shine a little bit brighter.
Consistency pays off!
Rihanna has consistently stayed on theme and snatched edges for years now. While many have slayed this gala as well, there’s no one that has built the anticipation for their look to astronomical levels like Rihanna? Why? She adheres to the theme every time and comes all the way correct. Sporadic appearances here and there leaves the opportunity to be forgotten. So for her consistent slayage it’s safe to say that Rihanna is the queen of the Met Gala and naturally the 1st person to be brought up in convo when talking about the event.

It Doesn’t Matter Where You Started
Even outside of the Met Gala, the ultimate lesson Rihanna delivers time and time again is that your beginnings will not determine your future! You can come from the most humblest of starts and still be successful, achieve your dreams, and look damn good doing it. From a little island girl in Barbados with family struggles and strife to who we saw grace us with her presence last night. Be encouraged that it can happen for you as well when you work hard towards your goals.
Until the next Met Gala, I’ll be consistently rubbing this Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my edges to restore their strength.
Do you agree with these life lessons or nah?
