I can’t promise that I won’t preface every spring fashion post with a “spring is right around the corner” statement, but hey it is! More importantly now is thee time to start securing spring trends and classic styles you love. For the most part I like to shop on the affordable (to me $30 -$50) end of fashion (unless something really speaks to me). It’s no different when it comes to plus size spring maxi dresses, one of my favorite spring trends to wear.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with maxi dresses that are relaxed and free-flowing and don’t really cling to my body. I also love maxi dresses that have extravagant details like puff sleeves, tiered layers, and really bold prints. This ongoing panoramic has completely blurred the lines between loungewear (house clothes) and things you wear outside. I find flowy maxi dresses like these to be perfect for lounging around at home. They just have a way of making you feel a little bit more fabulous, refined…bougie if you will. Yet they can easily be styled to fit outdoor style.
When it comes to styling I like to let the dress do the showing. I keep it simple with some cute earrings, a little handbag, and flat sandals. If I do wear heels I’m still no more than 3″ off the ground.
