Who would’ve thought that loungewear sets would get more wear time than any other fashions in the closet this past year? Moving forward in 2021 cozy, comfy, chic looks indoors will continue to be the vibe. With all that said loungewear sets can be pretty pricey and if you want to wear them at home everyday that total is going to be something crazy. 4 Affordable Loungewear Essentials That Won’t Break Bank
Sports Bras, Bralettes, and Tanks
When I first transitioned to working from home I forgot what a bra was! The girls were free, but then they started to get too free and annoying swinging everywhere. So I bought some simple affordable sports bras and ribbed tanks to keep the girls semi-controlled without feeling too restricted. Ribbed tanks are another favorite to wear with my other affordable loungewear essentials.
Long Line Cardigans
Long cardigans are the perfect touch to completing a loungewear set (matching or not). Get cardigans that work with the majority of your other pieces to maximize versatility with all your loungewear essentials. The cardigan and matching bra/tank set is super big right now. It’s super easy to achieve the look for less. My favorite way to get this look is by pairing affordable ribbed tank tops with the long line cardigans. For a cropped look fold the tank up under itself and voila!
Additional Tip: Anything cozy can be loungewear so don’t count a piece out because it’s not in the loungewear/pajama/athleisure section of your favorite big box stores.
Leggings
You’ve probably got loads of leggings in your wardrobe already and they’re super affordable if you need to add a few more. One of my favorite leggings I’ve tried out recently are LIVI leggings from Lane Bryant. Target also has some pretty cute leggings in fun prints that won’t do financial damage if you need multiples.
Loungewear Footwear
Having a cozy pair of footwear is just icing on the cake. Fuzzy slippers, mules, and slipper socks are my faves for walking around the house.

Target has the most affordable loungewear essentials and complete sets. Shop brands within Target like Stars Above and JoyLab. Wild Fable and a New Day has also come out with jogger sets that can be mixed and matched. Some of them can also be styled into cute athleisure looks you can wear outdoors too!
