More often than we are punching in at workplaces that just don’t give us the opportunity for creativity that we are yearning for. What I’ve worn in the past compared to what I wear today is definitely more fashionable. Professional, but with less whomp. It’s very important to me that what I’m wearing brings me joy and contentment so I’ve found ways to incorporate more fashionable work outfits in my wardrobe.
First things first you probably want the deets on this outfit! It’s an almost head to toe look from ASOS, one of my go to places for well…everything including workwear. I am in love with these wide leg pants from Unique 21. I wish they were cut for my 5’3″ height, but for this pair I made an exception and hemmed it. Pussy bow blouses were hot back in the day and I’m so glad it seems like they’re back.

Styling Tips to Create Fashionable Work Outfits
1. Bring on the Color
It’s time to kill the black, grey, and navy blue way of dressing for work. There’s nothing wrong with a little color when it’s done right. Pairing traditional work colors with a colorful pieces is the best way to create fashionable work outfits without fail.
2. Fancy Footwear
Fancy flats, beautiful block heels, and the retro sneakers your mom and dad wore in their corporate days are the perfect way to bring some style to your workwear.

4. Drama is the Details
The only drama I roll with in the work place is the dramatic details in the pieces I wear. *sips tea* Work tops with ruffle details, eye poppin prints, and billowy sleeves are my favorites. If you’re looking for professionally fashionable bottoms wide leg pants, pleated skirts, and pencil skirts with fun details are your best bet. Style them with equally fancy blouses or a spin on classic button ups (see that post here).
5. Power Suits for the Win
I just can’t talk about them enough! Divert from your casual looks and boss all the way up with a 2 piece suit. In 2019 there are suits in colors and prints that everyone can get behind.
