Let’s make this talk super quick because the sooner we all learn what our correct bra size is the better! I recently confirmed that I was wearing the wrong bra size when I went to an influencer event earlier this summer.
I can’t tell you how shocked I was at how drastically my bra size changed, but the difference in fit is undeniable. Once you learn the signs you’re wearing the wrong bra size it really is hard to unsee them.
6 Signs You Are Wearing the Wrong Bra Size
Loads of Room In Bra Band
Your bra band should fit your body very snuggly. It should not be able to fit more than a couple fingers between your body and the bra band.
Empty and Overfilled Cups
If there are any gaps between your breasts and the cups of the bra or you’re experiencing “muffin top” then your cup size is all wrong.
Side Spillage
There’s usually a seam or boning on the sides of your bra underneath your arm. If breast tissue is spilling beyond that point, it’s possible you may need to increase your cup size. Your entire breast should be in the cup.
Straps
Gaps between your chest and your bra straps is another indicator that your bra isn’t the right fit for your. Your bra straps should be flush against your chest. They should not be stretched out because they’re baring the full weight of your breasts.
Straight Band
The bra band should be completely horizontal across your back vs pulled tightly upward at the center of the back. This is just another sign that something is off and it’s causing your bra straps and band to bare weight where they shouldn’t.
The Biggest RED FLAG
If the center of your bra is closer to your belly button then it’s time or a bra fitting. Every part of a bra is made to support and lift your breasts up. So if your bra looks more like a hammock than anything, it’s time to get a professional bra fitting.
