I’ve decided that summer is pretty much over when I wore this check plaid blazer and jumpsuit. Despite the summer like temperatures I’m ready to transition into the aesthetic of my fall style at least when it comes to my corporate casual style. I’m indoors at work for the most part so wearing outerwear like check plaid blazers, warm colored cardigans, and long sleeved things are easy. Easy to wear in freezing AC temps, easy to take off during lunch break errands in the heat.
My love affair with jumpsuits will be continuing into the fall season , and that’s easy because most of the ones I like are season universal. The tiny baby breaths polka dot design on this ASOS floral jumpsuit (more jumpsuits here) definitely gives me the vintage 60s prairie dress vibe that seems to be trending for fall.
I thrifted this check plaid blazer (similar here and here) from a local Goodwill and it’s definitely going to be in heavy rotation this season. Pairing it with the jumpsuit makes for an effortless pattern mixed corporate casual look. I highly recommend trying it if you want to look stylish at work without trying to hard (or if you overslept from binge watching American Horror Story into the early morning 🙂 ). I elevated the look with a my new red bag and some simple block heel sandals. This is as high as I’m willing to go when it comes to heels as of late and they’re super comfy to wear even in the office.
