Are you one of those people that want to participate in Halloween festivities without doing the most? Don’t want to spend weeks (months even) planning a Halloween costume you’ll only wear for a few hours? Maybe you waited until the day before Halloween to come up with something? This DIY Bat Headband literally took me 1 minute to make so if you’d like to rock it with practically anything Halloweeny (black basically) in your closet, keep reading!
I found this big bat halloween decoration in The Dollar Tree and thought it would make a pretty cute Halloween headband. I’ve done headbands in the past with an actual headband, but I decided to try a claw hair clip instead. I went with the hair clip because I wanted to be able to adjust the bat from the very top of my head to the side. If you fix the bat to a headband, it’s going to be a bit more difficult and uncomfortable to readjust.
Easiest DIY Halloween Bat Headband Ever!
I just flipped the bat over (pretty side facing down), added hot glue to one side of the claw hair clip, and secured it to the bottom of the bats body. I also added hot glue along the edge of the clip to lock it in place for added security.
That’s literally it! It took more time to find some glue sticks and my glue gun than it took to actually create this DIY.
I found a bat print sweater at Target, paired it with some liquid leather leggings, and added my DIY Halloween Bat Headband!
The Dollar Tree also has a big pumpkin, ghost, and spider decorations very similar to the bat! So you could totally make this a cute group costume idea too!
I love when DIYs are truly short and sweet! Hope you found this inspiring for a last minute Halloween Costume idea!
