Whether you’re a 9 to 5er or a bawse of your business, there’s one iconic style piece that you should probably already have in your wardrobe, blazers. Blazers are an easy way to level up your “I Mean Business” vibe to any look. I have those days when I have to just throw a look together really quickly and be through the door (most days if I’m being quite honest), aka the chic without trying to hard outfit.
As classic and GOAT as a blazer is in the world of fashion and style, I can’t seem to get enough in the plus size world. Often when I do find them they are nothing worthy of adding to the cart, sick sad world, I know. However I’ve been browsing for blazers and actually managed to find a few that I think you’ll be happy with.
So to make it just a tad bit easier I wanted to share with you some of the plus size blazers that are currently available for us and who they’re actually from. I’ll try to refresh this guide as I find more plus size blazers as we get closer and closer to spring. Now is also a great time to tell you that the blazer I’m wearing is sold out. I got it from ASOS while it was on sale and barely got one for myself, but there are lots more blazers to rock.
Things to Consider When Shopping for Plus Size Blazers
- Back Width Measurements – My blazers never come off at work so they need to be comfortable as I carry out my day to day tasks. If you have a broader than average back , you may want to size up to give yourself a little wiggle room when you have to raise your arms.
- Arm Measurements – The chicness of a blazer is all in a tailor made fit, so often times the arms are rather narrow. Pay close attention to reviews and size charts to see how women with large arms liked or didn’t like a blazer you’re considering.
- Blazer Length – Depending on the look you’re going for you may want to pay attention to the overall length of the blazer you’re considering. Measure from your shoulder to the general area you would like the blazer to stop and compare it to the blazer description measurements wherever you shop.
10 Stylish Plus Size Blazers That Aren’t Boring
- I love that the stripes on this blazer from ASOS aren’t all uniform in size and also that black is the more dominant color in the stripes. It makes it less Beetle Juice-esque.
- This Eloquii blazer gives a new spin with a femme-militant vibe minus all the shiny buttons and loops on your typical military jacket. I’d wear it as a top all by itself or open as a blazer.
- The pearl buttons and puffed sleeve details make this coat trendy, but it’s still a classic coat that can withstand the test of time.
- Again a lot of Eloquii in this round up, but this navy pinstripe wrap blazer is the perfect way to wear navy without it being to boring and matronly.
- Can’t go wrong with this cobalt blue blazer.
- I’m still not done with ruffles so a ruffle sleeved blazer could be a new way to wear that trend in a classic style.
- Fuss free collar-less blazers are the way to go if the classic blazer style is not your cup of tea. It would also play nicely with tops that already have cute collars to hang over it.
- This is your classic tailored blazer, but my God there are so many color options for this one. Red, yellows, greens, and a pink similar to the sold out blazer I’m wearing.
- Spring is right around the color and this pastel coral blazer would be a great way to start out the season.
- This crisp, white blazer has so texture and classic vintage vibe.
