1. Choose floral skirts that are your style.
There are so many types of floral prints. There are big and bold prints, really tiny prints, floral prints with nothing but pastel colors, and floral prints with one main color in the background. I’m a fan of floral skirts (and prints in general) that are on the larger scale and they MUST have a dark color in the background. Black is best. Welcome to the dark side. 🙂
2. Balance a bold print with a solid color.
Have you ever seen something so confusing your eyes didn’t know what to start looking at first? This can easily be the case when styling bold prints. Well if you’re not styling a couture photo shoot for a high fashion magazine. If so then throw in all the prints, snake skins, feathers, and bottle of baby oil you want because that is art. For us everyday regular life living fashionistas, balancing the bold in your floral skirt with a solid color on top is your best shot.
3. Solid colored tops don’t have to be basic.
This floral skirt is the bomb dot com (are people still saying that?) and the best way to maintain “yasss” in this look is to pair it with an interesting solid colored top. Try a top with texture, ruffles, layers, etc.
4. Keep it cute all the way to the shoes.
The multiple colors in floral skirts give you so many color options when selecting shoes. I chose these cute lace up laser cut flats for this look.
How will you rock your floral skirts this season?
Shout out to my PhotogBae (aka babe that takes your photos) for taking these awesome shots. *fingers crossed* this will be a regular thing!
