The holidays are here and I am so happy to say that the fam and I have already put up decorations. We totally failed for the Fall season, but we were ready for this season. Since it is our 1st Christmas since relocating to Tallahassee and my son is now old enough to care about decorations, I had a decor teammate when it came to decorating the tree. He wanted lots of ornaments and lots of lots of gold tinsel garland. He would have covered the entire tree in garland, but I had to reign in the garland beast. Besides there’s so many other things to glam up with golden garland. Seriously Kem aka DIYer in training, save some supplies for later. I still have a wreath to make.
DIY CONTINUES BELOW
1st I fluffed the wreath by extending its branches up and out similar to how you would shape branches on a fake Christmas tree. Next I clipped on a pretty flashy gold flower we picked up for just under $3. Finally I wove left over garland around the wreath in between the branches in two passes and that was that!
This is a great way to carry the look of your indoor decorations right on out to your outdoor decorations without breaking bank to have matching pre-made pieces.
