The most obvious way to wear it is exactly how it is. I’m looking like a the black version of the salsa dancing emoji girl and I love it. It’s a perfect plus size summer essential if you’re going on tropical summer vacations. I love how flowy the skirt is and because I’m in Florida, the tropical print will fit in all year round.
Rock The Top
When it comes to rocking the top by itself, there are so many options. You can wear shorts, denim jeans, wear it under some overalls, or even a denim skirt. It really depends on what look you’re going for. With this 90 + degree whether, more than likely it’ll be shorts for me.
From Skirt to Dress
One of the perks of being petite is that maxi skirts can actually double as full on strapless dresses. So I basically pulled the skirt all the way up under my arms and defined my waist with the same wide waist belt. Rocked my sneaks, and added a denim jacket. You could go without a jacket as well, but I know some places have chilly summer nights. Also it’s great to have a denim jacket for indoor locations with chilly A/C.
Graphic Tee with Bottom
I dressed down the skirt and kept it casual with my graphic tee in this look. I tucked the shirt in and tied the two pieces together with a woven leather wide waiste belt (thrifted). I was a little weary of wearing sneaks with this look but it actually worked out really well. I will definitely be doing a lot of this for summer because I just don’t have the time for heels right now. Pretty doesn’t have to hurt.
