Ever so often I get a little rebellious streak when it comes to my style. Ok it’s probably more than a little. Even though I am here for seasonal trends I explore different ways to get in on them with a twist. Eloquii is definitely on board with the rebellion. Especially when it comes to the colors that’s expected to be worn in any particular season. So I picked out a look (courtesy of Eloquii) that was living proof that we can wear pastels in fall.
How I Wore Pastels in Fall
Sweaters in the fall are a given, but usually they’re in warm tones like reds, yellows, oranges, and 50 shades of beige. How’s pink for a twist! I love the chunky knit on this sweater and the puffy sleeve detail. To be honest I was kinda worried that tucking it into my pants would make me look hella bulky, but it worked out perfectly! Speaking of pants get into these plaid pants! Plaids come in traditional colors like reds, blues, and even black/white combos. I love the way the pops of pink on these plaid pants give coordinate with the sweater for a softer look. I also love that the the plaid print is larger which makes that much bolder.
As much of a winning combo as these pieces are together I can easily style them separately for work, fun occasions, and more. I’ve already worn the sweater to a baby shower with some jeans and my white ankle boots. I scored some basic long sleeve tops in black and cobalt blue. Both would look great with the plaid pants and are so much easier to style with a coat.
