Traveling and experiencing new things are what I really love to do even though I don’t get to do it as often as I would like. Early this past November I went on a quick vacation with babe (that’s what I call him 🙂 ) to Orlando, Florida. The main reason we went to Orlando is to catch the Electric Daisy Carnival. It’s a huge Electric Dance Music (EDM) festival that is coordinated by Insomniac Events all over the world. Las Vegas, New York, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Uk, and Puerto Rico…just to name a few. We were actually suppose to go to the EDC Puerto Rico in February of this year but that didn’t work out. So that’s why we just HAD to go to EDC Orlando.
I’m a huge fan of music and I’ve always wanted to go to music festivals like Coachella, Lallapalooza, Beyond Wonderland (another event hosted by Insomniac events). So I was super happy that babe and I got it together to go to EDC Orlando.
I was most excited to see Kaskade and Flux Pavillion when I arrived, but I quickly realized that I was missing out on some other awesome artists that I had no clue about like Slander, Snails, Excision, and Alison Wonderland. Now they’re all I listen to. I was also excited to hear Bassnectar even though honestly I’ve never heard him before going to EDC. Let me tell you right now that BASSNECTAR IS UHMAZING AND AMAZING! I have to say that after listening to all the headliners, I am definitely all about the BASS! #officialbasshead
The whole vibe of EDC was unbelievable. I’ve never been to an event with so much people in which I didn’t witness a fight or the entire event didn’t get shut down. Shade no shade…*ahem*VI Jouvert. Seriously, everyone was just dancing and having a good time. No judgement, just postive vibes for two days.
I didn’t record as much as I thought I would, but I’m fine with that. This is something that I have been wanting to do for a really long time and I finally got there. I wanted to experience it all in real time and not behind the lens of a camera. Not too much anyway. I took little Instagram snippets of my time in Orlando so feel free to check that out. I also put a little video together on YouTube of all the footage I got over the two day event so check that out as well. Beware of the bass headphone wearers.
EDC Orlando 2015 was my first, but it will definitely not be my last.
