Hey y’all! I’m so glad to be partnering with Catherines again to share with you this plus size midi dress for fall that is so00 me in a nutshell. If you don’t know, I’m a huge fan of black clothing. As much as I’ve burst out of the all black everything mood, it’s still a look that I always fall back on from time to time. Now I do it with a twist to keep things interesting. For example this mesh and floral midi dress from Catherines has two trends that make it more than a basic black dress.
When Mesh and Floral Meet
Floral dresses are not only for the spring season and mesh is clearly not for the summer time either. To have both trends in a dress that works is a double win. Now let’s be real about mesh dresses. We’ve probably all had our run in with mesh dresses that tear probably during the first wear or shortly thereafter. I’ve learned that not all mesh is created equal. I felt confident that the mesh in this dress was strong enough for my curves as I move about, sit, cross my legs, etc. I don’t know if that’s something most ladies think about when buying mesh pieces, but I think it’s important to stretch, sit, squat, dance in the things you try on especially mesh. This dress passed all the tests inside the dressing room.
The silhouette of this dress is so minimalistic that it can be easily dressed up with heels and a statement coat, or dressed down with some boots and a leather jacket. While I know we are in the fall season, this is a classic carefree dress that can be worn all year round! A cozy pullover sweater or a cute cardigan would also do the trick for chilly fall days. Polka dots are also a trend that I’ve been loving as of late and the subtle black polka dots on the mesh set it apart from basic mesh dresses.
