*adele voice* Hellooo…it’s Spring!!! I’m very excited to have warmer weather right around the corner. I’m even more excited to share with you all my first plus size spring outfit and those of my fellow style bloggers for our Spring Into Style collab. Each new season inspires us to change up in various aspects of our lives from our personal goals to the styles we want to rock for the new quarter in the year, and that’s what we’ll be sharing today. One of my goals was to do more collabs and find ways to provide more representation of fashionista’s that look like us (from style, to body size, to shape, to age). So I’m very happy to share this with you all.
My 1st Plus Size Spring Outfit
Colors, Prints, and Things
I wanted to start out the Spring season with this look because it definitely embodies the carefree, flowy, and fun vibes that I want to have with my style. Not to mention the color. While I am a member of 50 Shades of Dark Clothing in general, I definitely will be exploring more color for my plus size outfits for spring. I’ve kind of already been dabbling in it with the green plus size powersuit I shared in my previous post, but I’m just getting warmed up. I already have my eye out for all things gingham because I’m still obsessed and the fact that some of my favorite brands are finding new ways to put a spin on the print is not making it any easier. I’ve already attempted to rock the “Color of the Year”(ultraviolet), but so far it’s a no go. The really light version of purple doesn’t really do anything for my skin tone so deep vibrant colors like reds, yellows, and greens are where it’s at for now.

Brands to Explore for Plus Size Spring Outfit
My top 3 brands that I’m already head over 3″ block heels for are the Who What Wear collection, ASOS, and Eloquii. Between these three brands,
Simply Be just relaunched their site and I just made a few purchases from them so I’m excited to see how that works out. Spring and even summer weather in Florida always leads me back to my OG brands Forever 21 and Rainbow. I can always count on those brands for very affordable yet on trend pieces for the warmer weather.
Outside of just clothing, I am hoping to bring you all a new series that will give you a more local insight on what’s on and poppin in my new city, Tallahassee. May 13th will make it 2 years since I’ve relocated from the Virgin Islands, and I’m just beginning to really explore the ins and outs of my new home.
New Series Coming to the Blog
I’ve been in Tallahassee for almost 2 years and I haven’t really explored my new city. Don’t judge me. I’m a home body at heart, but I really want to get uncomfortable and explore. So I’m ready to head on out and share the happenings of Tallahassee from the local businesses we oughtta know to the places you should eat at to the events that have the town buzzing. I’m going to be covering Boss Women Weekend this weekend for starters and have a few places lined up to visit. Excited is an understatement!
