If this outfit doesn’t scream fall and Thanksgiving outfit I don’t know what will! Thanksgiving Day is coming up and I can already smell the turkey, baked mac and cheese, and VI style potato stuffing (my fave). I should be one to already ne smelling all this food because your girl is cooking once again for the holidays. High key I contemplated flying my mom up just so she can cook for me and the fam. Triflin’ maybe, shameless definitely. I digress.
This look from Yours Clothing fits all the requirements for a Thanksgiving outfit.
3 Thanksgiving Outfit Essentials
Stretch to Make Room
It’s essential to have a pair of pants that have stretch in the waistline if you are planning to get knocked up with a food baby on Thanksgiving day. These super stretch skinny jeans definitely do. They give me the feeling of leggings without the restriction of more rigid denim bottoms. Aside from how appropriate these pants are for Thanksgiving, they fit me really well from waistline to hem. Yours Clothing really recognizes one very obvious and crucial pants requirement and that is they have to fit well. These particular pants came with the option to choose your correct inseam (length from crotch to desired pants length). Choosing the right inseam definitely makes the difference between jeans that fit like your 2nd skin vs a cumbersome droopy pair.
Cozy Sweater Dress/Top
The only thing I want to fuss over on Thanksgiving Day is deciding between apple pie and pumpkin pie, not a cumbersome top. A cute sweater like this one has the comfy casual vibe I need with a cute cutout detail. I love the rich golden brown color of this sweater and how versatile it is. I can wear it as a dress with thermal leggings and fold it under at different lengths for different looks as well.
Best Coat Ever
I live in Florida, need I say more? It’s warm one minute and nippy the next. This is my far the best coat that I’ve ever owned. I love the huge check plaid pattern and the black and grey colors in it is all me. Depending on how far up you zip it, you can have completely different neckline looks. It’s just a really classic coat that will go well with so many different outfits.
On the bright side, there’s a holiday office party coming up so I could definitely wear Thanksgiving outfit to that. As for this Thanksgiving, I’ll probably be wearing some pjs and a pot spoon. Maybe next year I’ll be the one that’s all dressed up in my Thanksgiving outfit empty belly in hand.
