Y’all my latest spring and summer style obsessions would definitely have to be plus size tiered
PLUS SIZE SWIMSUITS FOR SUMMER SLAY
Summer is here and I am just waiting for somebody to post that dreadful gif of Britney Spears crying because “her body isn’t ready for the summer”. Earth to whoever decides to post that meme, your body is beach body ready in whatever condition it’s in. The only reason I’ll be crying is because I don’t have enough money to buy all the swimsuits that I am feeling this year.
I recently filmed an affordable plus size swimsuits lookbook in the Virgin Islands, but it only includes four swimsuits. There are so many others that are HOT AF and I wanted to share them with you here.
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p, cb; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; cb = new Date().getTime().toString(); p = '//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js?cb=1498833859545?cb=' + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === 'object'){ if(doc.readyState === 'complete'){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, 'script', 'shopsensewidget-script');
TIPS ON BUYING PLUS SIZE SWIMSUITS
+ SAVING COINS
Hey I get it I get it. Sometime I try to claim I’m a minimalist and then I’m reminded that I’m not by the avalanche of clothes I dodge every morning. Still I have nothing to wear. 🙂 We want to be in ting with new things and that’s ok, but here’s how you can save.
MIX & MATCH – When it comes to bikinis, purchase a top or bottom to add to the tops and bottoms you already have. See that cute geometric bottom in the pic above, I bought it last year, but I bought the bow bikini top this year to spruce it up. I skipped buying the bottoms that match with the bow bikini top and saved about $18 right there.
HAVE YOU TRIED BODYSUITS – Bodysuits typically tend to be significantly less than swimsuits, and have fun prints and graphics just like swimsuits. I recently put a bodysuit to the test as a swimsuit and there are tips and tricks you have got to read BEFORE you start hunting.
MINIMALIST– If you’re really about saving coins and have not a sing f*ck about having multiple options, buy THE ONE! The one swimsuit that sings out to you and the heavens part for. Ok that’s two EXTRA, but you get what I’m saying.
Happy Hunting Luvs!

Spring Workwear: Pleated Skirts + Floral Tops
Fun fact: I’m known for wearing a lot of black and/or dark colors at work. Whenever I don’t wear black, people have to pause for the cause and take note. Needless to say I’m a fan of black and that’s not changing no matter the season. However, I’ve been making a lot of effort to incorporate pops of color here and there when thrifting for spring workwear. I recently collabed with fellow affordable/thrifted style blogger Rebecca of BeccSmith.com to share with you spring workwear looks that we thrifted for $20 or less. With #werkwearwednesday and #thriftedthursdays Rebecca and I have got you covered with the affordable style inspiration. So here’s my look!
For this look my subtle pop of color is this deep purple and blue abstract floral print top from Ellen Tracy. It’s actually a high low top, but for this look I tucked it into this cute pencil skirt that I also thrifted. It’s so easy to dress this down with a pair of jeans and my current favorite spring shoes casual Fridays at the office as well.
I also found this short sleeve peplum blazer that’s cropped at just the right spot to give me that hourglass dip in my waist. Side Note: Pencil skirts and peplum anything will make your butt look big (that’s a good thing imo) and twerk when you see yourself in the mirror. You’ve been warned and you’re welcome. 🙂
When I saw this black pencil skirt I just could not pass it up because it’s not often that you find a pencil skirt with pleating wrapped all the way around the hem. This skirt is the most fun to walk in because the knife pleat detail dances and flares with each step you take. Pleated skirts and dresses are still trending so this thrifted piece is definitely with the times.
At $4.79 a piece this entire spring workwear get up cost about $15-$16. I hope this outfit left you inspired to give thrifting and coin saving a try. Head on over to Rebecca’s post to see how she saved coins and slayed with her $20 thrifting budget.
ELOQUII SPRING CLOTHING: MY CURRENT FAVORITE SPRING PICKS
Can I just tell y’all that Eloquii spring clothing spread is on a whole other level?! Eloquii.com is a plus size fashion brand that has been on my radar ever since my fashionista mother introduced me to them. My fashionista momma clearly is in the green to regularly shop at Eloquii. She high key made me share a few of her OOTDs with Eloquii (and she got featured for the win!). Today is her 50th birthday and she is the inspiration behind this entire post! Love ya ma!
Fast forward to 2017. I’m a living and breathing Eloquii new arrival and sale notification alert for my mom. Haha.
What really gravitates me towards Eloquii spring clothing is that you can’t find their pieces anywhere else. While they do create clothing that is on trend they make them unmistakably “Eloquii” (yes I used Eloquii as an adjective) when they incorporate fresh, unique patterns, attention grabbing details, and twists on your classic style pieces. I also love them because even though their items are priced on the higher end, they are almost ALWAYS offering astounding sales and discounts that make their clothing more accessible to everyone no matter the budget. Perfect for my champagne tastes and CapriSun budget. 🙂
Like I said the hardest thing for me is to decide which piece is coming home with me!
In the meantime I wanted to share with you all my Eloquii spring clothing picks from this awesome brand.

Yesss I’m fashionably late with the obligatory Hello Spring blog post, but does this look make up for it or nah. Thank you! I’ll assume you’re nodding. I figured I’d start out the spring season with this vibrant floral skirt that has been sitting in my closet for an entire year. As a fan of wearing black, I look at spring as a challenge because most fashions that are promoted are bright, colorful, and a whole lot of pastels. Like I recently posted
