While striped outfits are one of the trending prints for summer this year, I’m still a plus size gingham stan! Clearly! I’ve recently added these two pieces to my wardrobe. They’re both from my new go to store in Tally called Tarjé (aka Target) and I’m here for them both individually, but my oh my when they’re together?! Looks like a romper and I love that there’s a progression in print size from the gingham top to the gingham shorts.
About this love affair? Gingham is just one of those prints that I’ll wear until I’m absolutely bored with it. However with each new piece I come across I don’t see that happening anywhere in the near future. Here’s why my addiction to Gingham is not letting up anytime soon.

I’m calling it! Plus size striped everything is where it’s at this summer season. After reading that you probably shrieked in delight because you love stripes or your anxiety went up just a tad bit because…stripes + curves. Either way I feel you and I wanted to introduce you to the wonderful trend of stripes that’s currently happening. For a long time we’ve been fed this ridiculous fashion rule that plus size striped anything was not good for our bodies. Bullocks. Trash. Utter lies and nonsense! I’ve been peeping this trend and wanted to share with you my first plus size striped dress that I picked up. If you follow a lot of plus size bloggers like myself (@froplusfashion) on Instagram or you follow the Who What Wear collection, then there’s no way you missed this colorful striped dress. If so allow me to introduce it.
This dress is everything I didn’t know I needed for the summer. It’s giving me colors, ruffles, and the carefree but still put together vibe that’s aesthetic goals for me all summer. This dress comes in regular size and plus size, but guess what size I’m wearing? A medium! While I love how big and flowy the dress would look in my usual 1x/2x (16/18). Sizing way down to a medium gave just a tease of curves around my hips. I went a bit fancy for this look with feathered heels, but I would easily dress it down with some sandals or sneakers.
It started raining during this shoot, but clearly that couldn’t stop my shine.
