I’m a simple chick of simple means. When I find something I love, I tend to stick with it. More like rock it to death. This is 100% the case when it comes to this lipstick. I shared this photo below on Instagram and it’s the damn truth as of the past six months (at least).
This my fellow lipstick lovers is Sangria from Milani and it’s my staple,holy grail, go-to, favorite lipstick. Given I’m not a beauty guru that has bins upon bins of lipstick, I still say this one is pretty amazing and here’s why.
The Color
Look at it! I think black is the new,the one and only black and I love it. Vampy colors like gray, deep purples, and rich oxblood excite my inner goth self. However, I know black lips aren’t necessarily PTA meeting or work appropriate, but Sangria is. It’s the perfect balance between purple and red and compliments my dark skin so lovely.
NO LIP-LINER REQUIRED
Some lip colors just can’t fly without a lip liner, but Sangria is not one of them. The consistency is very rich & creamy, but it’s thick so it doesn’t slide pass your natural lip line easily like slippery formulas.
IT FADES BEAUTIFULLY
If you’re the type that is very careful with avoiding transfer when you eat and drink please teach me your ways because that’s not me. Seriously this color untouched looks darker and more matte with time. If you’re a NOM NOM NOMer and you aren’t careful with preserving your lip color, no worries. Sangria fades nicely into a light red that looks like an intentional lip tint. Besides…come closer…you can reapply it if you need to. This lippie is definitely worth 10 seconds of reapplication after lunch.
THE PRICE
Milani is affordable and accessible to everyday women like us. I’ve found them in CVS, Walgreens,Walmart, and Kmart for $6-7.
