If you sensed a little shade in that title you’re spot on. So let me tell you what I’m salty about. One item that has been on my fashion wishlist forever and ever amen has been a plush faux fur leopard print coat. I thought I had found it a few weeks back when I purchased one online. When it got here there were a number of things wrong with it. Starting from one of the buttons that were already coming loose to the fact that it looked more like a Fred Flinstone coat. This “leopard print” consisted of irregular spots vs open broken circles that is the true leopard print pattern. The biggest miss with this coat was that it was just too much on me. It was too fluffy, too long, and even though it fit I felt swallowed up in it. Honestly it left a bad taste in my mouth, but the hunt is still on for that perfect leopard print something.
In the mean time in between time, I’ve already started incorporating leopard print into my fall wardrobe in other ways. So let me share with you some of my ways to wear leopard print, no coat required.

Ready to Wear Leopard Print Options
My favorite way so far is to try a leopard print pencil skirt. I thrifted this Chicos skirt for a smooth $4.79. I love that it’s leopard print, but it has an overall dark undertone that works perfectly for all the other dark clothing I already have in my wardrobe. This ruffle sleeve sweater from the WhoWhatWear collection at Target paired very well with the skirt and my wide waist cinching belt tied it all together. I could have easily switched out my boots for some sneaks for a more casual vibe. It’s a classic versatile piece to bring into your wardrobe.
Walk on the Wild Style
Got enough clothes, but not enough shoes? A pair of shoes with full on leopard print or just a splash is all you need to switch up your outfit. I personally have my eyes on the black and leopard print ankle boots from ASOS, but I already have like 5 pairs of black boots and one brown pair.
Accessories
Belts, earrings, handbags, and other small accessories are some subtle ways you can slide into this fall fashion trend as well.
As for the obnoxious leopard coat, I returned it the next day. I’m not sure if plush coats are right for me, but I’m still open to it. I just gotta find the right one, until then I’ll get my leopard print fix using these ready to wear alternatives.
